How to Choose Computers in Business

A lot of brands say their computer is the computer for you. There are a lot of styles, too, for almost any industry and profession. A crafty salesman might convince you to buy something you don’t really need. If you are not a computer expert, what do you do? How do you wade through the abyss filled with technology-quicksand?

Good thing there’s the Internet. You can do a lot of research online that can tell you what you need for whatever business you are in. There are multiple message boards where you can post questions and get honest, good feedback. Do a little bit of research online and ask people in and out of your industry about what type of computers you’ll need in your particular business. It shouldn’t take long for you to get the information you need.

iPhone's Inovations A Constant In Computer News

Everywhere I look, someone is carrying an iPhone. It has become THE cell phone to have. The new iPhone 3GS has put old iPhone users in a frenzy to swap theirs out for the new version. Lines have been seen forming outside of apple stores just to purchase the new iPhone. Forget about that old Mac OS X software you've been using. The iPhone now has iPhone OS 3.0. This basically means I can carry my iMac everywhere. It is the same software on the 2008 and later Mac computers and laptops. Now you don't even need to use a full size computer! All computing has gone mobile. Computer news has labeled iPhone as the best phone operating system today, and I imagine it will stay that way as long as Apple keeps making our lives easier.

Computer Tan?

We have some pretty strange uses for computers these days don't we? There is a website called Computertan.com that was set up solely to to warn of the effects and dangers of skin cancer and other diseases due to tanning beds and other things.

The site even says that users can download software that makes their screens produce ultraviolet rays! Look out, now we won't even have to go outside for a tan.

Skin cancer is the most common form of the disease in young adults, and that is who computertan is targeting. You really never know what you will get next in the computer world.

Also, I wanted to refer us all to one of my favorite sites for browsing computers. Check it out and see how its personalized to our Singapore area.

Internet Use in Singapore

Earlier today, comScore released an overview of web usage in Singapore and the results may influence the way that computers are being marketed to Singaporeans. Apparently, a quarter of Internet time spent by Singaporeans is for instant messaging. Only 2 percent of Internet use lies in the realm of web searching/informational.

As netbooks and other sub-computers increase their market share in other parts of the world, the same should hold true in Singapore, where net-related activities dominate computer usage and helping to cater to the communication/IM fix in Singapore can only help computer manufacturers' prospects for the future.
